I painted my body with the regrets
Of a thousand summers
Spent wilfully
I painted my skull with the regrets
Of a thousand poems
Lost in my dreams
I painted my lips with the regrets
Of a thousand things
I should have said
I painted my eyes with the regrets
Of a thousand things
But, nevertheless
They remain
