Making A Stand

Together we stood
Divided we fell
Nobody told us
We'd be fighting in hell

Filled with doubts
Filled with tears
We saw hostility, pain and death
We comforted our fellow men, who took their last breath

We stood our ground,
And continued to fight
We pray we made you proud,
And did what was right

We were gone for so long
Doing what most thought to be wrong
We hope our families understand
How hard it was for us to make a stand
