Laying In The Grass

Sometimes you need to have freedom,
Sometimes you need some space,
Somewhere where you can be yourself,
Laying in the grass would be my place,
Sun shining on my face,
The feeling of a soft breeze,
Butterflies and daisies,
The sound of buzzing bumblebees,
Making shapes out of the clouds,
Yawning and being lazy,
Running round and round,
Dreaming of laughs and smiles,
Rolling on the ground,
No city noise for miles,
It’s somewhere to be with friends,
It’s somewhere to have some “me” time,
On how I’m feeling it depends,
Next time I’m feeling down,
Confused or just not in the mood,
It’s impossible to frown,
When I’m wearing my daisy crown,
My favourite place will always be,
The place where I can just be me,
Laying in the grass.
