Excellence Award in the 'Write As Rain 2014' competition
Moon glistening above the water bright
Gentle movement across the steady sea
Stars reflect the forgotten memories
As our ancestors watch us from above
We are the new generation to come
Soft loose sand underneath my weary feet
Water ripples from the movement of fish
Black fins start emerging from the surface
Flotsam is washed up on the beaches shore
Foot prints are marked in the dense yellow sand
I can't feel happier than I am now
The breeze has died down and the air is still
I saw at that moment my real future
