There was something.I squinted.Nope.Nothing.Just me,carelessly floating.In nowhere.A flash of red whips against my face,and there was an ear-peircing scream.What was that?I started shivering.I was paralysed.Where did that come from? Was that just my imagination? Then I heard the sound of a creaking floorboard.My eyes shoot open and start to sting.But I won't shut my eyes.It's pitch black.Then I hear birds squawking,no,singing.As my eyes adjust to the dark I see that I am in a small room.The door suddenly flew open, and Mum shouts 'You're gonna be late for the bus!'She pokes her head into the room.My room.I let out a minor sigh of relief,get dressed,brush my teeth,grab my backpack,and I'm out the door.
