Excellence Award in the 'Write As Rain 2014' competition

You must travel through the dark deep woods, filled with creepy evil monsters, you must travel over the giant swirling ocean, through whirlpools and sea serpents.

Beyond the sea you shall find a country, filled with plague and famine. You must trek through the villages and evade the enticing grip of death, you must not linger or it might catch a handhold.

Once you have completed the previous task, you must journey through the war torn lands. The lands are extinct of life forms and civilisation due to the war.

If you have made the quest alive you shall see the cross of salvation, the cross that saves you, because past it are the valleys, the valleys of gold.
