All of us watched as Mother fell,
On her knees -
Broken, just a shell.
Simple, small steps, to a slow demise,
She is a slave, no longer allies.
They flew away, now done with their prey,
What's left of mother, what can we say?
Her strength gone, her consciousness faded.
Nothing left. Nothing could make it.
Simple times call for simple measures.
“Fight for Mother, protect her treasures.”
The thieves are gone, yet the thieves are still here.
Memories forever -
Frozen with fear.
