A place in time
A thought, a care
The stillness of 'now'
How can we compare?

How can we know
What they went through?
Sons and brothers lost
And fathers too.

How can we know
Of a duty fulfilled?
How memories could hurt
Of those who were killed.

In the still silence
We pray for release.
For those who were killed
We remember them - in peace.
