The Fisherman walks away
from the small lonely jetty,
Catch in hand

The calm river laps gently against
the slowly rotting woodwork

The sky softly lights up
revealing rays of warm sunlight
from a distant horizon

The light breeze whistles through two leafless trees,
Lifeless giants

The ever-growing lantern in the sky, its warmth touching earth of
dirt, grass, sand and mud
illuminates the main land ahead

Stars peek and shine still though many have vanished

The old man turns around;
there goes the Fisherman
