Waiting For The Rain
By Alex Pearson
The rain is gone
The grass is dry
No clouds at all, just blue sky
The dams are empty
The cows are pore
We`re running water from the bore
The paddocks are bare
Dads buying lick by the tonne
We all have to help do the lick run
It’s so hot and sticky
Mum and Dad are stressed
They don’t get much time to rest
Some people get rain but not us
Dad checks the weather everyday
“Where’s the rain,” I hear him say
For now we just have to wait and pray
