Sadness lurks the gloomy air, raindrops pouring down my hair
Lightning is creeping near, it’s now become my greatest fear
Bang! I looked behind me, nothing out of the ordinary
I got closer to the bus stop, I felt wet, soggy and sad just like a mop
Then I sat down on the bench, my water soaked hands started to clench
Lightning hit again, the bus passed with no pain
I screamed out loud but no one could hear me, the bus left off as I fell on my knee
As the bus drove off it sprayed water everywhere, leaving me in the conditions that no one could bare
I got up and continued walking, and in the distance I could hear someone talking
I lurked closer to the sound so far, as I longed for the taste of caviar
I walked down a little alleyway, and by that time I felt okay
I thought I saw a pussycat, wiggling on a little mat
Something walked passed looking very cute, purring out loud, it was obvious it wasn’t on mute
I pat the cat, it was so fluffy, even if in the alley it was so stuffy
Then I realised on my face, was a big smile, I was back in the race
I was very cheery once more, thanks to the cat that I adore
