A seed is planted in the Earth,
The soil covers it up, a mother enveloping her child in a hug.
Drops of water kiss the ground,
Nurturing the seed, sustaining life.
The first shoots pop out of the rich, luscious soil,
Like a newborn baby, just out of their mother’s womb.
Green leaves can soon be seen,
A garland of flowers, in a little girl’s hair.
As the pages turn, the tree grows.
The fruits of its labour appearing in the foliage,
Glistening red, in the rays of the Sun.
The seasons go by, and the tree grows old.
A heavy storm strikes, and rages day and night,
A fierce lion, angered by its prey.
Lightning strikes, the tree falls, leaving another seed its place,
And the wheels of time roll on.
