Pain Inflicted By Violence

The pain that’s caused by violence,
Breaking the hearts of those being struck.
Their tear filled bodies, praying for the best of luck.
The sweet innocent souls,
Bruising more each day.
The feeling they’re not loved, and all they can do is lay.
Lay and wait until it happens,
Pretend not to exist.
Lay there in silence, with no one to assist.
The world outside them is grey,
They have no one to show them the way.
For the one thing they can do, take it as it comes each day.
And we shall not sit here,
There are things we can help do.
So stand up for what’s right, you can stop this too.
