I wonder why we wonder,
Or why some people are frightened of thunder.
I wonder why lush grass is green,
Or how many clear raindrops have spilled onto me.
I wonder why the fluffy clouds are pale,
Or why the curious fish have beautiful scales.
Sometimes I wonder about the far away past,
Or how long this poem will last.
Do you wonder about the glistening stars,
Or if we will ever invent flying cars?
Do you ever wonder why the shining moon is round,
Or how many golden grains of sand you have found?
I wonder why the ocean is a deep, murky blue,
I really don’t have any clue!
I sometimes wonder about what I want to be,
But I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.
