Battle, love

Exploding shells, children screaming, laughing with mates
Wading through murky waist deep water
Combat, friendship
Commando, Commando
Smelling death and destruction, smoke covered horizon, aroma of death
Blood soaked bandages
Bloodshed, treaty
Soldier, Soldier
Carrying cold metal, sharing life and death
Fearing the advancing enemy
Military action, truce.
