Statement of intention: This poem was originally created as a response to the artwork in my class. We were learning about analysing paintings and turning them into descriptions or poems. At the time we were analysing 'Number 1' by Jackson Pollock. After reviewing the painting I created this poem.

A Complicated Mess

This painting has no end.
No moral, or understanding. Nothing to intend.
A never ending maze, a puzzle abroad
It has no ending like a lord long gone and reforged.
The art of creation, A king to us all
The intention to imagine, may be our next fall
Our existence in two words, and a summary to us all.
Number 1
Ask yourself, does it have a meaning at all?
