Dad told me to never go up into the attic, but that just made me curious.
Slowly, slowly, I crept into the dusty, dark, dim room. Intricate cobwebs
hung from the ceiling. Not meaning to, I bumped my head on the bookshelf
and all the books tumbled out. A curtain ripped and I fell backwards. An
eerie glow flickered through the window. A shiver ran down my spine because
something was in the far corner. It was a mirror with golden carvings all
around it. It swirled me in and I saw a figure standing there.
As I looked around, I saw I was in the same attic but it was eerily
different. I was in the mirror! The curtains lay on the floor, the cobwebs
hung from the ceiling and the books from the bookshelf were scattered all
around. As the figure moved, I asked frightened, “who are you and how long
have you been in here?” I didn’t think he would respond, but he did. “I am
the mirror man and you will be here for thousands of years,” he whispered
with an evil grin on his face.
I tried to run away, and then I remembered something. The mirror reflects
the whole house so I can go to the garage and grab the shovel. I visualized
the garage and found the shovel. I grabbed it and was back in the attic. I
smashed the mirror and jumped out.
Next time I will obey my dad.
