Mummy said to me - go and clean your room!
What was I to do - I didn't have a broom!
I opened up my door for just a little look.
Oh my goodness what a shock - I stood there and I shook!
My room was such a mess - it gave me such a fright.
Then I said to Mummy - the mess grew overnight!
I pulled up the bedspread and looked under my bed.
Imagine that to my surprise - I found a goat instead.
I opened up a cupboard drawer - a rat gave me a claw.
I hit him with my schoolbag and knocked him out the door.
I opened up the wardrobe - full of fear and dread.
Hiding in the wardrobe was my best friend Fred.
What was I to do? I didn't have a clue!
I think it's best to shut the door and never clean my room!
