Society told me to be skinny,
They said it’s the only way I’d be pretty.
So I shrunk my size every day,
Just so society could get their way.
Society told me to have perfect skin,
They said it’s the only way I’d ever fit in.
So I used make-up every day,
Just so society could get their way.
Society told me to stop being weird,
They said it’s causing everyone fear.
So I became dull and boring,
I did that for society every morning.
Society’s weird and hard to trust,
But oddly enough,
Society is us.
