Echoes

For one day,
Try to see the light in someone's eyes,
When you make them laugh.
The sparkle fade,
When their sadness comes back.
Watch their skin turn pale
And their smile disappear.
Their happy glow; a somber echo.
They rest their hands,
They hang their head.

Although, there was a light.
Stardust did circle in their eyes.
And their rosy glow filled the air.
For just a moment, we could see,
They fell deaf to sorrow
In the sound of laughter.
