War the hungry beast that does devour,
It sets upon the world, in demonic rage,
This primordial power, it strikes with its scour,
and friend and foe alike both fall, to the force of its pillage.
An elemental force that bears its fangs,
and snarls the baying of the harbingers.
The shrieks and the screams, the clanks and the bangs,
the sounds of death and despair linger.
Dead, lost, gone, the afflicted of this sickness,
the fetid fetters have taken their toll.
The vanquished victims of this viciousness,
taken before their time, out of anyone’s control.
It’s War, the merciless force that feeds on despair,
and destroys until the world is a broken affair.
