Sad At War

I hear the bombs in the air
Only seconds to breathe
My slouch hat on my head
This terrible place
A German close by
I aim my gun and shoot
A tear drops from my eye
Many soldiers by my side
Another tear from my eye
I die.
Looking from above
I see all of the war.
A chance to rest
My wife and family I miss so much.
They must get the letter I wrote.
