Getting Out Of The Gumbo

In this gumbo of rancid parts and prime cuts
Seems that the prime cuts seem to get all the bite marks.
All in the equal mix of roux and greens.
But somehow the rancid parts get thrown anyway.
While half the prime cut is used to fill a child’s plate.
Not sure if a catch-22 or the sticks just take.
No other way out no matter what road you take.
