The last leaf falls, blown harshly to its doom
By the means of an overpowering breeze
The tree, now alone without a single bloom
Sheds a silent tear of pity and unease
It stands as a solider in a snowy battlefield
As the merciless wind keeps howling past
The tree shivers, but still refuses to yield
As it keeps its winter vigil until the last
Finally the cold leaves and begins to fade
A leaf sprouts, calling all to follow lead
Flowers and plants alike start to invade
They answer springs song as quick as a steed
The tree now a bloom, stands in full glory
A changing of seasons has completed its story
