Heading to the lake with the boat on behind,
Smooth water I hope to find.
Dad backs the boat in and does a lap,
While I’m on the bank and do up my strap.
Into the water I slide,
I can’t wait to go for a ride.
Mum throws me the rope and I hold on tight,
Up I stand, I feel so light.
It feels so good to go ‘round the lake,
And awesome when I jump the wake.
Sometimes when I go for a flip,
I face-plant and split my lip.
At the end of the day my muscles are sore,
But I still wish I could do more!
