Robin Hood

Excellence Award in the 'The Text Generation 2014' competition

Robin Hood was brave and bold,
he was not afraid to work in the cold.
He stole from the rich to give to the poor,
he gave out money from door to door.
Because he believed no one should go without,
hooray hooray the townsfolk did shout.
He had a band of merry men,
of 5 or 6 or sometimes ten.
Maid Marian he did adore,
he could not love anyone any more.
He was the man dressed in green,
When amongst the trees he was not easily seen.
He was never captured and a hero to all,
if you listen closely you will hear his call.
