I wonder what it would feel like to feel that empty, to be trapped in an endless battle field with no one to turn to, and to be frightened that if you close your eyes for too long they might never open again.
There was nothing else I could physically do other than effortlessly collapse in the middle of this destroyed battle field. It was all too much for me. The thought of fighting for my country made me excited, but now the only thought I have is that I’ll never see my family again or anything and everything I’ve ever loved, and that’s scary.
So here I am, my face cupped in my hands crying, because I’ve just seen all my troop blown up in front of me and I don’t know where to go or what to do next. If anyone’s out there, please, help me.
