Excellence Award in the 'The Text Generation 2014' competition
The sun knows, just when to rise
The wave exactly when to break,
Yet we are the only ones with schedules and calendars, A time to watch a movie A time for lunch
We ourselves hung the clock on the kitchen wall
However, while the cat does not check its watch
Nor the stag fret over missing appointments, Man alone measures time Man alone strikes the hour
Which is why man alone suffers the most tormenting fear no other creature endures.
A fear of time running out.
