3rd in the 'The Write Track 2015' competition
I wake up in the morning at eight,
I have to get to school, I'm late!
I brush my teeth with lots of haste, Forgetting to use my favourite toothpaste,
I change my clothes like never before,
I dump my PJ's on the floor,
I eat my breakfast like a bear,
I pack my bag, I comb my hair,
I hurry to the door, breaking into a run,
Today at school, I'll have some fun!
I race to the car, in a sprint,
I look through the windows, dark with tint,
I realise as I near the school,
It's Saturday, I've been a fool!
I'm out and about, but instead,
I could have enjoyed the morning in bed!
