The Beach

The beach in Williamstown is the best place to be,
The water always seems cold to me.

The water is murky instead of clear,
And sometimes we go for walks on the pier.

And when I go to have a play,
I wish I could go there everyday.

And when it's home time I always say,
"I want a bit more time I want to stay!"

But mum always says "no",
So I have to give in and have to go.

The smell of the water temps me back,
I don't turn around I don't look back.

And the reason I don't want to go,
Is because the beach is the place that I call home.
