The clear blue ocean shimmers in the light,
as waves lap against the shore, what a beautiful sight.
The seagulls dive to catch some prey,
they’ll hunt until night brings the end of the day.
The warm sand’s as soft as a bed of cotton,
but the fossils underneath all old and forgotten.
What other treasures are lying below?
Of most of them we will probably never know.
A strong wind wildly kicks up the sand,
it is thrown about as if by a careless hand.
The waves grow taller as the sun is setting,
and the last of the fishermen pull up their netting.
The morning breeze brings along pillow-like clouds,
as the ocean awakes to sing its beautiful sounds.
And all kinds of fish come out to play,
to enjoy the warmth of a new sunny day.
