From the feathery kookaburras sitting in a gumtree
To the wide open spaces isolating me.
The luscious green grass sprouting out from under the earth
The large pristine waves that Aussies like to surf.
The stunning wildlife that surrounds me wherever I go
The warm flames of a bonfire shining out below.
The mesmerising sound of a didgeridoo
The glorious sunset behind Uluru.
The ANZAC Day March full of honour and pride
So many different cultures living side by side.
The Opera House, the Harbour Bridge
The beautiful opals at Lightning Ridge.
The nation’s flag flying above
This is Australia the country I love.
