A heart’s a piece of paper, your love is the glue
Stick it to another, one heart has come from two.
Glue does not break easily, the hold is very tight
From one, it can’t be whole again, and that is just not right.
Every heartbreak rips the paper, a piece of the other left behind
As your heart does the same, the total is hard to find.
You’re left with torn up pieces, clinging to old hearts
The heart you hold inside you is not one, but many dead parts.
That is trial and error, which leaves you so much pain
Fake love isn't worth it, your efforts are in vain.
Instead, wait for the right one, the glue will bind your hearts
It will leave you with one to share, not so many parts.
