At school we do speed sheets
I don't think we can cheat?
My nerves make me jiggle my feet.
There is level A and level B
and level C and level D.
There are many other levels
but I feel best on level B.
I stare at my sheet
and my face fills with heat.
The clock starts ticking
I start thinking...
Kids are counting fingers
my pencil lingers
My heart starts racing
While the teacher is pacing
The clock is racing
While I am facing
this speed sheet in front of me.
