The man doth look skyward ho!
To a towering pyramid most grand.
To alluring rays of golden glow,
Of glittering grains of sand.
Enchanted, enthralled, with nothing to lose,
He begins his audacious ascent.
Yet already, he hath fallen for the ruse,
His fate it shall cement.
Driven by greed, the man hath reached the mid.
But for what does he reach? For what does he seek?
For the unattainable perfect peak, he makes a desperate bid.
The Siren’s Song tis sweet.
Forlorn, the winds that blow on him and forlorn he eventually grows.
His integrity revolving around avarice, society thus dissolving.
Up to the guillotine, up the pyramid of woe.
Now leaves one question to be asked: What is truly evolving?
