i sit in my cell counting the hour,
Desperate to flea from this abuse of power.
my inmate whines of justice and freedom,
I listen to him, head bent in boredom.
My sentence is served, the end so nigh,
The day won't come fast enough to say goodbye.
I sit, waiting for the end of this gloom,
Alas, the bell rings and I exit the classroom.
