Walking, walking the forest never ending,
Listening to the noises all around,
Looking, looking at the trees and plants,
At all the sights and sounds.
The soft sounds engulf us,
Filling our listening, waiting ears,
The sounds of birds, the sounds of animals,
That every one of us hears.
We look at the lush leaves and trees,
At the animals, the vegetation and the ground,
At the bright green, leaf covered sky,
At the flowers and ferns which are found.
Our hearts pound with appreciation,
And we wonder how anyone could
Chop down the beautiful plants and trees,
And furnish and use them as wood…
