The war the ANZAC's fought
And this is where victory was sought
The leader yelled charge!
And we all started to barge
My heart was pounding
As the Turkish were rounding
The fields were red
For some it would be their forever bed
We had to charge on
Until the enemy was gone
I watched the men around me fall
But I still stood tall
Bullets whizzed through the air
My head in my hands in despair
I think of all the lives lost
The pain to the families it will cost.
