I see it there in the window,
I imagine its sleekness as it seems to glow,
I’m being pulled towards it like a majestic feast,
Sensing the lightness of the beast,
I almost feel the agility of the velocipede,
And the beauty of the painless speed,
Hear the gentle click of a gear,
Like your destinations coming near.
I envy those who can take hold of the handles,
And can control the effortless movement of the wheels,
Smell the scent of warming bike oil,
I dream of the lovely aerodynamics of it all,
Listen to the soft chain as it does purr,
All feelings inside me begin to stir,
I look at the price tag then start to groan,
It costs too much, it’ll skin me to the bone!
