He was born on a tropical tree
He is now in a shopping trolley
His cousins voyage the shopping carts
From IGAs to Walmarts

With a smooth coat of fun yellow
He's always there to say hello
If he's not feeling ripe you can always tell
If his coat is green, he's not feeling well

He's always been the tropical type
Pineapple wants to talk to him on Skype
Passionfruit always wants to have fun
But Banana's always on the run

Banana is a friend in a bright yellow suit
But to me he's more than just a fruit
I'd never want to hurt him like a knife
But Banana is a banana, so that's just life.
