The days are nearing, the seconds are passing;
Nights are falling, my heart beat is rising;
My sleep is dying, my dreams are failing
Morning comes and my thoughts are racing,
my heart keeps pumping, my mind starts blazing.
I burrow through my memories, thoughts and emotions;
to hide myself from the commotions above ground
and the tick-tock of the clock and its ever repetitive sound.
My fears, my worries and my pain are all captured by this light breaking through my cracked mound.
This isolation brought me closer to darkness;
It's time for me to look up to see how much I've been blessed;
Moments come and go and it's time for my moments to go
it's my time to move forward instead of just thinking forward.
