What do I seek? The answer varies
My being is filled with voids as black as tar,
A thousand miles long as the sea
But I crave the taste of exotic wine,
Adventure, friendship, escape
My treasure chest is caved in with lament
But was once as bright as can be.

This emptiness was once filled with treasured gold,
Can you believe?
But then stolen and leaving me with my voids
Like pirates finding their loot from a lonely cave,
Their claws mimicking the Reaper's
Which took my happiness ahold.

Take it with abandoned shame
Is the mindset of the world.
Who is to blame?
