The silence of sad ghosts
Lay quiet, unmoving, at the back of our souls
They blink their eyes in their awakening
Their moans silent, stiff and cold
They do not notice each other
As if they were not there
These silent hearts yearning for belonging
They wander alone in despair
One could wonder how these sad souls feel
Could try to understand for what they search
But one does not need to wonder
Because we all understand their longing, their hurt
We all have our sad ghosts
We all experience pain
But remember sad ghosts wander
They do not remain.
