Danger!

Excellence Award in the 'The Write Track 2015' competition

One day I was walking my dog Doris when there was a sign saying danger enter at own risk. I stared at the sign and decided to go through the gate. Doris and I entered what seemed to be an old broken down zoo. I started to walk through the zoo being careful of zebras and elephants that ran around. Half way through the zoo, Doris started to bark I looked at where she was looking. The danger sign from before was on an old door. The little old building looked small from the outside but when I heaved open the heavy door the room looked huge. Inside the room about a quarter of the way in the floor turned to sand. “Woof woof” went Doris I looked to where she was barking there right in front of my eyes was a giant red eight eyed monster with fifteen legs. I searched my pockets but all I found was a tiny pocket knife. I quickly picked up Doris and started to run back the way we had come but a brick wall was blocking our way. Suddenly a Magical pond showed up “great” I said “how’s that supposed to help me now” I looked around there was a magic carpet that looked, very strong I led the monster onto the magic carpet and guided it to the pond, the monster jumped into the water by itself. I and Doris ran past the pond. In front of us was a staircase I ran up the steps with Doris right behind me when we reached the top, there was a fancy chair with a fairy sitting “well I see you survived my monster now what is your wish” said the fairy I took a long hard thought then an idea popped into my mind “to always be happy so nothing would be wrong” I replied. “If that is all you may ride these dolphins back and I promise that you and you’re dog will be happy for the rest of you’re life. When me and Doris got back nothing had changed the people who were walking past us before were still in the same spot. I looked around for the sign but I couldn’t see it anywhere.
