Johnny's Friend Named Jess

Johnny had a friend named Jess.
Their friendship was lifelong.
They set aside their differences
and boy did they get along.

They were inseparable, John and Jess,
daytime, dusk 'til dawn.
But one day John came home to find
his friend named Jess was gone!

He searched for her here and there-
every place in town,
but his dearest friend named Jess
was nowhere to be found.

When Mother called him in for tea
he sadly ate his chow,
but what he didn't realize was
he'd eaten Jess the cow!
