Scuttling in night and day
creaking of floorboards
a dash then silent
a slinking tail moving side to side
terrifying sharp deadly teeth
then a bite
you scream, yell, howl, wail, cry
you see apple sized lumps full of puss all over you
you faint and then you see it, just a quick blur of a body
then body scuttles away out the door
quick on its fast feet
the next day you feel
weak, tired, powerless, wobbly legs
you find more bites
you fall to sleep and never wake up.
