We walk on hate filled water,
We sink in fighting sands,
We kill innocent people,
On other ones demands.
We hurt and belittle
many people that we meat
And we're always wonderin'
Why there's wars on every street.
Our leaders give us orders
That we follow to the law,
And when it's done, it's a mistake
And we can pick its every flaw.
We hear of bombs and shellings
Every word has always stung,
But the most disturbing this of all
Is this war should never have begun.
