Gallipoli

They had no hope
As fire shot around them
Got to the shore, climbed the cliffs
Dug themselves in, as they fought
How can people live in such a condition?
Why were they given such a mission?
They used rifles and bayonets to fight off their enemy
Now in Gallipoli, where the crosses stand tall
We think of them all.
