I was doing detention,
For something I don’t want to mention.
When my teacher aide, who was cleaning out the fridge,
Saw something that made her cringe.
“What is it?” I said
As I scrambled to see.
A black mooshy banana was staring
Right back at me.
It was hideous and gross,
It made me want to flee.
I don’t like fruit,
And this one was as bad as fruit can be.
Now my great grandmother liked bananas,
And she liked them black you see.
But this one.... But this one,
Would have challenged even she.
Now whenever I see a piece of fruit,
And go to take a bite.
I can’t forget the day I saw,
That black mooshy banana and took fright!
