Fading Away

Cold and broken was the love,
Hate and fear all that lived.
Hope was fading to the night,
Waiting for the creeping change.
Two ways to look back and forward to move,
One way closing, one way opening,
Choose now or forever be gone to hate.
To run away is not fear,
Forget the hate, live the love,
But which road is new, which road is old?
Change is now pushing hate away,
Look forward, break the chains of fear and hate,
Open the new door, walk in the light,
Feel the warmth, close the door behind you,
And live the new life.
